Kiran’s research focuses on political parties, corruption, and subnational politics.

With expertise in democratisation and backsliding in the Western Balkans, she studies political institutions and public opinion to understand how political accountability differs between developing and advanced democracies.

Kiran will be a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich’s Department of Political Science beginning in the 2022/2023 academic year.
