He has been a Seagram International Fellow at McGill University in Montreal.

José is President of Radix Intelligentia, a professional organisation devoted to constitutional democracy from the perspective of intelligence and geopolitics.

His research interests include western intelligence services, specialising in anti-money laundering techniques.

José's work has appeared in more than seventy scientific publications, covering subjects including political analysis, geopolitics, contemporary history, political theory, political systems, and comparative politics.
