Alexander's research interests include EU foreign and security policy, European diplomacy and external action, European integration and enlargement, the Western Balkans, international security, and public international law.
His work also explores youth and democratic participation. He is the author of Youth Participation during the April Uprising of 1876, presented at the international conference marking 150 years since the April Uprising in Bulgaria.
Alexander is part of the Save Sofia team, where he supports the organisation’s office operations and communications.
He is also one of the founders of its youth organisation, Mladite Spasyavat, where he is involved in building a community of young people and organising initiatives and events.
Alexander joined Save Sofia with the ambition to contribute to a more active and engaged generation of young people in public life.
He believes that meaningful change begins with awareness, participation, and consistent action, and that Sofia has the potential to develop as a modern, open European city.
