Visnja is an incoming associate professor at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb.

Her research deals with the politics of growth models and dependency in Europe's peripheries, as well as the political economy of EU enlargement.

Visnja's work has been published in New Political Economy, Journal of European Public Policy, Review of International Political Economy, West European Politics and Comparative European Politics, among others.
