Victor Hugo is a socio-legal scholar working on the governance of sexuality, family and children’s rights in Europe.
He holds a PhD from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Victor Hugo is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Newcastle University and an Associate Researcher at the Centre Européen de Sociologie et de Science Politique (CESSP).
His current research examines the role of European courts in shaping contemporary moral governance and he has recently published work in INTER-Pares.
