Tim's research inter alia focuses on the relationship of international institutions, power, and order.

He obtained his dissertation at LMU Munich, which was awarded the John McCain Dissertation Award of the Munich Security Conference.

Tim was a Junior Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield College and the Department of Politics and International Relations.

His research has appeared in journals such as The Review of International Organizations, International Studies Quarterly, Review of International Studies, Global Studies Quarterly, European Journal for Political Research, and Journal of European Public Policy.
