Sarah Engler is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich, in the Research group ‘Comparative Politics with a focus on Empirical Democracy Research’ and at the Centre for Democracy Studies Aarau (ZDA). She is also working on a new project on the politicisation of democratic principles in Europe. Other research interests include populism, party systems and party polarisation in Western and Eastern Europe.
