Violence against politicians is a part of politics, but experimental studies find that its effect on citizens is muted. Rozemarijn received her PhD from the University of Antwerp.
Her research focuses on women’s political representation, candidate selection, intraparty politics and political violence, with specific attention to how political institutions can become more inclusive and diverse.
Her work has been published in journals including the European Journal of Politics and Gender, Parliamentary Affairs and Acta Politica.
