Robin's primary research interest lies in the study of political representation, with a particular focus on the gendered nature of politics.

She explores the intersection of gender, intersectionality, stereotypes, and political decision-making, shedding light on how these factors shape both the representation of marginalised groups and voter perceptions in contemporary political systems.

Robin has recently published on these topics in Electoral Studies, Politics & Gender, and Political Research Quarterly.

Previously, she was a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University (US).
