Roberto earned a Bachelor's and Master's in Philosophy at the University of Bologna, where he specialised in political philosophy.
He then moved to Rome to pursue a Master's in International Public Affairs at LUISS.
At Exeter, he is working towards a PhD in European Politics with a thesis on EU expenditure policies in the context of the 2021–2027 Multinational Financial Framework and the Covid-19 pandemic.
His research interests cover European Union politics, electoral laws, and political institutions more generally.
