Özge researches and publishes extensively on Turkish civil society, European Union civil society support, and Turkey-EU relations.

Her research has been awarded funding from Turkey’s Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK), the British Academy, the British Council, and the Mercator Foundation.

Her articles have appeared in international journals including the Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Social Movement Studies, and Third World Quarterly.

She received the Young Scientists Award from the Science Academy (2015), and the International Relations Council (2018) in Turkey.

Özge is a member of Carnegie Endowment’s Civic Research Network.
