Oliver's research focuses on migration and integration policy, educational and language policy as well as political parties and right-wing populism, with a particular focus on the Austrian political system.
His work has been published in journals such as Policy Studies, British Politics, Journal of Contemporary European Studies, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Austrian Journal of Political Science and On Education Journal for Research and Debate, as well as in several edited volumes published by Springer, Palgrave, Oxford University Press and Toronto University Press.
