Morgiane’s research centres on European and international human rights, migration, and climate change.

She has also worked on gender and law, as well as constitutional EU law and EU integration — fields deeply connected to her academic and professional experience.

She holds an LLB (Honours), a two-year master’s degree from the Catholic University of Louvain (Magna Cum Laude), and an Erasmus master’s degree from the Global Studies Institute at the University of Geneva (Magna Cum Laude).

Morgiane completed an LLM in European and International Business Law at Trinity College, a certificate in Humanitarian Law from the College of Europe, and a Teaching in Higher Education certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

She has worked as a Teaching Assistant in European Law and European Politics at Trinity’s School of Law and Department of Political Science.

She is also a Lecturer at Dublin City University and an instructor for the Scholar for Ireland programme.

In parallel with her PhD, she serves as a European Advocate, engaging with the EU Council and submitting reports on human rights, youth involvement in policymaking, worker rights during the just transition, and climate justice.

Before pursuing her PhD, she gained experience working in a corporate law firm, the sector of EU insurance, and international relations institutions.

She has established and secured funding for several research initiatives, including the Symposium on Climate Change and Migration, and the Women in Research Week 2025 at Trinity College Dublin.

She is the Chair of the Women in Research Network at TCD.

Her initiatives have involved close collaboration with actors from different sectors, embassies and international organisations, such as the IOM UN Migration and the Embassy of Algeria in Dublin.

She has been an early career researcher at the Trinity Long Room Hub, a member of the Irish Centre for European Law, and is an emerging scholar at the Kaldor Centre for Refugee Law.

She is visiting the European University Institute in Florence, and is a visiting researcher at Oxford University and the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights.

In 2024, Morgiane launched a social justice initiative to improve access to higher education.
