Mateusz is a former career diplomat at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His PhD project, at Chemnitz University of Technology, looked at multidimensional threats stemming from deepfakes.

Mateusz lectures on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and disinformation at the University of the National Education Commission and the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków.

He recently published a series of articles on the regulation of deepfakes in the EU's AI Act, and on deepfakes' impact on democracy.
