Marianna's research focuses on party politics, especially on populism, democracy, race, gender, and Italian politics, on which she has taught widely.
She is co-convenor of the Double MA Policies and Governance in Europe, and Deputy Director of the Department of European & International Studies' Centre for Italian Politics.
