Evelina is the coordinator of CERMES, the Center for European Refugees, Migration and Ethnic Studies.

Her research and teaching expertise encompass urban politics, migration studies, and populist movements.

She leads the ConnectBG project (2023–2026) and has extensive experience in projects related to democracy, migration, and urban policy. She is widely published in Bulgarian and internationally.
