Eva founded the UAB research group on Democracy, Elections and Citizenship in 2009.

She was 2018–19 fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University.

Eva is the principal investigator of the Spanish Political Attitudes Panel, POLAT.

Her research interests include citizens’ political engagement in advanced democracies, political attitudes (including partisanship, polarisation, populism and sexism), and the causes and consequences of protest.
