Daniel is a research fellow at the Center for Civil Society Research and a research member of WZB Protest Monitoring, a research project on protest and political radicalisation in Germany.
He received his PhD in 2022 from the Cologne Center for Comparative Politics at the University of Cologne, where he was part of the Decentralization and Electoral Geographies project.
Daniel's dissertation investigated political party strategies in the context of multi-level elections and decentralisation.
His research focuses on political institutions, protest dynamics, and media, and he specialises in quantitative methods.
