Discussions about democracy have never been more vibrant. Yet, debates often unfold in a highly simplistic or unreflective way. Dimitris Kastritis joins the Science of Democracy 2.0 to argue for the necessity to continue raising new questions in democratic theory

Dimitris has studied political science and philosophical perspectives on politics and the economy in Greece and the Netherlands.
His PhD explores political realism in Friedrich Nietzsche and Max Weber, and he has received a research-stay fellowship from the Klassik Stiftung Weimar / Nietzsche-Kolleg in Weimar.
Dimitris has lectured on Leiden's BA International Studies programme, and has presented his work at various international conferences.
His interests include political theory, theories of democracy, and intellectual history.
