Camilla's research focuses on the politics of gender policy, with particular emphasis on party politics, social movements, and religious institutions.
Empirically, most of her work centres on Latin America, where she has done research on abortion and same-sex marriage reforms.
Camilla’s work has appeared in Development and Change, Social Politics, and Latin American Politics and Society, among other outlets.
She earned her PhD in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019 and has previously been a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Freie Universität zu Berlin and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
