Cristian is currently a researcher in the European Research Council project POLAR: Polarization and its discontents: does rising economic inequality undermine the foundations of liberal societies?

His research takes a comparative approach, examining the intersection of social stratification, social preferences and political attitudes.

It has been published in journals including Current Sociology, International Political Science Review, and Legislative Studies Quarterly.
