André studies climate and environmental policies.
His research focuses on climate change governance at national and subnational levels.
He examines the role of climate governance in promoting better coordination, integration and effectiveness of different carbon-intensive sectoral policies and governmental programs.
Currently, he is studying the Brazilian case, in which he examines the governance of the Brazilian National Policy on Climate Change and its interaction with the agriculture and transportation sector.
André is also a senior civil servant at the Brazilian Ministry of Economy.
