Her research interests cover intra-party democracy, political elites, representation, and women in politics.
Her work has been published in Electoral Studies, Party Politics, European Journal of Politics and Gender, Representation, American Behavioral Scientist and Parliamentary Affairs.
As of 2024, she is co-editor-in-chief of the journal Politics of the Low Countries.
