Agnese's research lies at the intersection of border studies, mobility, and security, engaging these themes through critical and interdisciplinary approaches.

Her research explores how borders, policies, and institutions shape and govern mobility.

It pays particular attention to the intersections of race, gender, security, and power, and to the politics and practices of (im)mobility.

Agnese serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies and as Early Career Scholar Representative for the Gender and Sexuality (GenSeM) Standing Committee at IMISCOE.

She is also an active member of Fundación Lüvo, where she contributes to anti-racist and feminist pedagogical initiatives.
