Anne's research focuses on comparative politics, which she uses to analyse industrial relations, issues of international political economy, inequality and redistribution, and global development dynamics.

In her recent publications, Anne explores the relationship between existential anxieties and right-wing populism in Europe, investigates the impact of Covid-19 on support for the German Alternative für Deutschland, and introduces a novel index for measuring union strength.
