From 2019–20 and again in 2021–22, Arianna was Director of IPPR North, the leading think tank for the North of England.
Her research focuses on territorial politics, multilevel governance, regional economic development, local government and public policy.
Arianna is a Trustee of the UK Political Studies Association (PSA), and between 2010 and 2018 she was the co-convenor of the PSA Italian Politics Specialist Group.
