Annika's research covers transitional justice processes; peacebuilding and statebuilding; memory studies; peace geography and norms in international relations.

Her work has featured in leading academic journals, including Political Geography, International Journal of Transitional Justice, Peacebuilding and International Feminist Journal of Politics.

She is currently co-editor of the Palgrave Book Series Rethinking Peace and Conflict Studies.
