					<description><![CDATA[As of this morning, 2025-02-25, your discussion of Trump vs Macciavelli, strikes me as very most relevant. It had occurred to me before, but I had not thought it through as you have done, for which thanks. It shall take a better philosopher than I,- perhaps Michael Sandell? - to work through all the questions of morality which come to mind. For, if following the meeting between Trump and Macron yesterday, some short-term beneficial ceasefire is achieved, I find myself unable to accept that Mr Trump should be credited much given the manner of his operation. Yet, perhaps it is that I am too much the idealist. I want Truth, Goodness and Beauty to be integrated in politics (pace Plato). I am struck by your bringing E.H.Carr into the picture, having recently acquired for The Artiscience Library Jonathan Haslam&#039;s &quot;The Vices of Integrity: E.H.Carr 1892-1982&quot;.]]></description>
